• I was surrounded by them. I'd like to try one. I think they are interesting, but also wary that they are just undamped springs, so you may as well just run a larger tyre/lower pressure. The gravel fork is only 30mm travel, which is pretty pointless.

Only reason I'd consider owning one would be for another run at Tour Divide, because of zero maintenance and low weight. They are so ugly though.

  • What's the go to tyre for rigid bikes on the Tour Divide et al?

I'm looking for something durable, reasonably fast rolling, light, high volume and not too knobby for (hopefully) mostly dry trails. Specialized Renegades are meant to come in 2.3" (and I like the 1.95", apart from the lack of volume) but I can't find any in the UK.

  • I like Conti X-kings a lot for this

  • Yep @platypus nailed it. Continental X-Kings, ProTection version if funds allow. Amazing tyres for this stuff. I ran 2.4s for Tour Divide, didn't need to swap due to wear, rear had done 3000 miles by the end of TD and did another 400 miles back home before it started getting punctures.
