The marks kind of look like water drops, which would suggest an issue with the processing.

It looks to me in the second one that it is just out of focus

I would usually guess user error myself, but only the close shots are in focus, and anything further away has no sharpness - across the whole roll. On top of that, all the close shots are also slightly out (focus falling behind subject), leads me to think it's the lens.

@nefarious, have you had your eyesight checked recently? A long time ago something similar had happened to me, and I thought it was the lens. It wasn't the camera lens, but my own eyesight that had begun to slip a bit.
