There's actually a tent and sleeping bag in there or are you going adventure style with bivy bag instead of the tent?
-
• #6678
I wonder why the hell they did stop making it...
-
• #6679
Is that a montano fork?
-
• #6680
Nah just testing the bag mounting for the moment. I'm considering getting the fork drilled for anything cages, with the plan to carry sleeping bag+mat+bivi on the fork legs, clothes in a saddlebag and food+stove in the bar bag.

Yup :)
-
• #6682
Can you use p-clips on t b email forks to mount the cage? Wouldn't look so neat I know but drilling forks would worry me. Maybe I'm just too anxious.
-
• #6683
I share that fear, bit will be asking a frambuilder to do it.
If they reckon it's not feasible on this fork I can try using dmr hinged clamps. Might mock it up with them anyway.

I referred to the @Xavonseine 's one

• #6685
I just meant that I agree with your dismay at on one having ceased production of the pompetamine :)
-
• #6686
Anyone tried 650b a pomp?
-
• #6687
so you kept it?
soz again for the tyre kicking. think you made the right decision by keeping it though!
on a side note.

Get in line (you're probably ahead of me in the line)
Related; on one/planet x seem to have pulled the pomp from their site. Are they discontinuing it? Are we about to see a gangsta-esque rise in value?
-
• #6689
Damn. Just as I was wondering about a new one. Did prefer the wishbone stays versions though.
-
• #6690
@Turkish : Damn! All pompino frames have disappeared from the On One site??!!
@Sebagallizia :I found that chinese fork late 2015 on Aliexpress
-
• #6691
They've got 1 set of handlebars and 0 sets of cranks available. I'd say they're pulling everything
-
• #6692
Plenty of Pompino frames available on the Planet X website.
-
• #6693
Nevermind, must have been a glitch
-
• #6694
I've changed the thomson seatpost and stem for cheap Deda ones. It fits me better with this 30 or 40mm rise bars.
-
• #6695
Sure did. Mostly because I realised I had these forks kicking around and they have a perfect axle to crown length (they are 26er mtb forks, so I've got to cut off (or otherwise get over) the brake studs). Looking forward to riding it as a pseudo ss 29er mtb.

• #6696
Do you not have a pomp by now? or upgrading to a v4?
-
• #6697
its a large v3. I wanna med v4. moar scoblebricks and I want a raw frame anyways.
-
• #6698
Going to be selling that v3 frame?
-
• #6699
Yeah...

Utfs turned up a few comments about running the pompetamine frame with 650b or 26" wheels, has anyone actually tried it? I found this pic, caption reads "26 x 1.85" WTB Nanoraptor on Mavic XC717 in a small Pompetamine, axle in middle of trackend" which looks like no trouble at all clearance wise. I might be able to lay my hands on one of these frames and would like to run it with fatter tyres than allowed with 700c which is why I ask.
I'm looking for a small/med frame if anyone has one for sale. Colour and condition don't matter
