Rice paper bacon. Fuck yeah.
Need to change my spice mix as it's not quite what I wanted but texture is on point.

That looks proper! What's the texture of the burger like? Recipe?

Rice paper bacon is a new one on me. Have you got the recipe for that?

Took 15mins and is delicious. Will make again. Can make anything from crispy to chewy depending on layers/cooking time.

Burger could have been better. Browned the outside in a dry pan and cooked in oven. Buns were a bit harder than planned which made the burger smoosh out the sides.

Just made 18 cookies too.

Thanks. It’s the same as I do but I use very thin slices of aubergine (on a mandolin).
I like how crispy the rice paper ones look though for in a burger.

Yeah I want to try the aubergine version too. The texture of this batch was the same as that prepacked crispy bacon from sainos.
I might do a thicker batch to try and make a chewier taste.

Alpro plain yoghurt is nice, in that it doesn't taste of much, but is pretty runny compared to Fage. Any other plain non dairy yoghurts worth trying?

I really like the Coconut Collective yoghurt, good n thick and tasty too

This is what I'm missing most, proper thick, cut-it-with-a-knife, Greek yoghurt.

CoYo is super thick and creamy, kinda tastes like coconut creme fraiche.

Get the plain Alpro Go (previously not in very many shops, but saw it in Morrisons this morning, so seems it's going live). Super thick, best texture ever.

I'm not even vegan and am completely obsessed with this stuff. Chuck some fruit and cacao nibs on it and boom.

I second the Coach & Horses! They also have cats. Plus, there is vegan ice cream and waffles at Yorica on (I think?) Wardour St, just around the corner.

God I hope not, that's like half their menu gone... the best dishes at that!

I just tried this, but instead of liquid smoke, I used the Cajun spice rub from waitrose. It's fucking bangin'. Will be making this all the time.

Cool, I followed the recipe to the letter, was savoury and delicious but not quite right. Cajun facon sounds well bangin', I was considering wasabi version too.
I have liquid smoke, have used it a few times but find it overwhelms most other spices.
