difficult question, maybe silver?

Thanks all, since it's for a classic(ish) build I'll see if I can get my hands on some of these

What program are you using again?
Fusion360
The renders do look quite nice. How long do they take to make?
~10 minutes for 1920×1080 on a 3.1GHz i5-3340, the recent update to the render engine has roughly doubled the speed.

I need to replace the chainrings on an Ultegra 6500 crankset, any recommendations that are decent value for money? Preferably 50/39

De-shedded this and took the wire wool to it, ready for a summer build. First advice is sought on clear-coating it, best clearcoat for the job, techniques, no of costs etc.
Secondly doesn't anyone have a scooby's on what it might be? Certainly English, 1960s/1970s, very distinctive lugs and seat-cluster, Campagnolo track ends, number on the BB shell.
Frame is ratty enough, my brother managed to get battery acid on the Jag stem, certainly matches the frame.

Today's CP work didn't quite happen as I'd hoped, but I did find time to "build" this wheel stand!

• #114313
Should have this up and running by the end of the week. Cannot wait

Very classy but it needs a silver seedpost imo

wheel stand
Oh no don't sacrifice the flexstem!
(Or is it seized...? ) -
• #114316
Exactly my thought...

Did you actually use one?
They were terrible. -
• #114318
Yes, I did. They were terrible indeed but so were the Manitou, Tange Struts, Tioga and most other suspension systems than. :)
-
• #114319
True that, but the forward rotation was off-putting.
-
• #114320
Worst than that, I had a fake one, with tons of lateral play... On a hi ten supermarket mountain bike.

• #114321
betcha it developed mad skillz tho

Little update on the Apex-1 group: took it to the mountains for a weekend of climbing, with a last-minute 38t chainring, and it was brilliant throughout. Spins out at ~35mph descending but that's plenty for me and the low end got a lot of use. Tempting to do something similar to the other bike.

Yeah sadly seized. I didn't actually put a huge amount of effort into removing it, but my original design involved sawing the stem off to remove the fork. At least this way I could one day liberate it.

Very nice! What bar bag is that?

New Focus carbon fork and DT Swiss 350 hub for my cross bike, forks blend in perfectly imo.
Tubeless WTB Nano for summer next.
for the moment I haven't tried it yet.
Silver or black seatpost?
