  • Interesting article, though water:rice ratios can vary significantly across types. Jasmine rice needs 1:1.5 (rice/water). Brown rice needs significantly more water.

    An alternative is to pour your water, boiling, over the rice then cover it with tin foil and put it in an oven at ~105 C.

  • I used that artical as a starting point as i always over cooked and made rubbish rice, good starting point for basic white rice.
