That's a great question. My guess is that they wouldn't buy from me if they didn't want a valid UK/Canon warranty. Here's is eGlobals address:

HONG KONGThey provide the warranty themselves (not through Canon), because it's considered a "grey import" when you buy from eGlobal. I bought from John Lewis UK (Authorised Canon dealer).
