Elite homes who were bought by Bovis I think.
I thought it was thin, I've just done a clinic refurb and the architect said 100mm on cladded walls.
I'll ask him in the morning, thanks.Edit: classed changed to cladded (autocorrect :().

Sounds like a plan, 100mm insulation's pretty deep, normally the cavity is c.100mm with space for an air cavity and then the insulation pinned to the inner. Ultimately it depends on the efficiency of the insulation used and the U-value it achieves. All the best, but I'm sure it's all good!

We got an invite to that Minotti party. One of my colleagues went, I felt like crap so thought it better to go and watch TV. Sounds like I missed out though.

Ok folks.. hive mind request...
I need to get the building I live in redecorated, its a block of ten flats, old victorian building, currently very shabby and cheaply decorated, crack den kind of vibe.
Currently its gloss blue, and carpets are a dark dirty blue, I don't think there is budget for new carpets so will need something that works with dark dirty blue... suggestions? references? Anyone?

Something even worse, making the carpets look good in comparison

Theres a question over whether the budget will stretch that far. I kid you not.

With ads like this you need to specify 'dog not included', as everyone will want her. :)

Today I learned... about the Antivilla.
Love this bit:
... a newly conceived flat [roof] that is structurally designed as a casing. This allowed him to cut openings five meters wide in the existing wall. The openings were created during a kind of hammering orgy – dozens of friends gathered to beat away at the wall and construct the holes.

Is anybody on here a freelance visualiser? I work for a small firm in Belsize Park and we're looking to make some new contracts from the visualisation side of things.
If you are freelance, work for a viz studio or just know someone please PM me.

I really over-ordered materials for my hallway and have the following going spare.
5 x 3.4m lengths of really nice quality 70mm wide Burbidge redwood dado. http://richardburbidge.com/parts/detail/FC223
5 rolls of this Anaglypta embossed paper
https://www.decoratingwarehouse.co.uk/anaglypta-rd-124-derby?gclid=Cj0KEQjw9r7JBRCj37PlltTskaMBEiQAKTzTfCDLwLVgHBgJfG7ZLFqpUV--_oTBpebhR9XuOnqGj3AaAlMU8P8HAQAnd an unopened 5l tub of Valspar dark grey matt emulsion. It's the nicer quality one. Wipeable etc. Really nice rich colour too. I forget the exact colour but i think it's "Slate Court" from this chart. Will post a pic of it all up in a sec. http://www.valsparpaint.com/en/explore-colors/painter/color-selector.html
Can't return any of it so I'm not looking to cover my costs. But if anyone wants to make me an offer...I'm in Faversham Kent but could bring into London if someone was keen.

the wallpaper and paint are blood-free though

Can't wait to get rid of that hideous carpet. Who puts a thick cream carpet in a hallway? It was ruined by the time the movers had left.

Ta. Found some better pics of the finished job and close-ups of paint etc. Will stick it in the classifieds and DIY thread which is probably a better fit.

tidy! own work/owned by yours truly?
eee gad that's thin?! even high performance insulation only goes to around 20mm (Kingspan OPTIM-R)
Mind you U-value requirements have changed considerably since 2005. Was probably fine for then, less so now. Who built the house?
