So they've made them upgradeable?
Perhaps they hadn't finalised the design of the DA 3-port when the 785s were released.
I guess if you can't be the shifters it's not likely I can buy the internals.

I don't know if it's their intension to make them upgradeable, but Ultegra 6870 already had the 3 port before the R785 was launched..

@MBroady : I've had a few female connectors fail thanks to dirt, a quick squirt of some brake cleaner fixed it for me :)

Money saving? Space constraints for hydro would be a reason, if it wasn't for the fact they appear to be the same size.
