anyone know how to calculate stack and reach if you only have the geo table
If you have all the geometry, it's just trigonometry. Most bicycle geometry tables don't list enough parameters to deduce stack and reach. The required dimensions are:
- Front centres (BB to hub)
- Fork offset
- Fork axle to crown length
- Head tube length
- Head tube angle
- Headset stack height
- BB drop
I could work out the formula, but I CBA as a: you probably don't have all the dimensions you need and b: if I were doing it, I'd sketch it in CAD and measure the outputs
- Front centres (BB to hub)
While I'm here, anyone know how to calculate stack and reach if you only have the geo table, not the bike in front of you?
Bonus points if I only have to punch numbers in online!
