That said a few possible reasons spring to mind:
1) Labour have had a lot of 'turnover' so their MPs and support staff are less experienced/organised (although that doesn't really excuse Abbott)
2) Labour are campaigning on national issues so they need to cover a lot of ground (whereas the Conservatives are focusing almost uniquely on Brexit)
3) This election was launched unexpectedly at short notice meaning the policy details will not have been fully worked out (and this is exacerbated by the second point above)
