Why? It's been clear for some time that our Government have no grasp on the reality of the situation so for that to be leaked just confirms what we know.

Tony Parsons is currently making an arse of himself on Twitter if anyone fancies a laugh.

As if the worst thing about being occupied by fascists is having to learn* a second language. Credit: whichever standup I nicked that off.
*Not for Junker obviously for the reasons pointed out on Twitter.

Two things really stood out - the first, May believes that this can and should be handled in secrecy, the resultant deal to be presented to the electorate as "this is what we have, it's this or nothing". The second, that she seems to actually believe that she can replicate the "opt out of all, then opt back in to only those which suit" negotiation she carried out as Home Sec viz the JHA, whilst the ENTIRE EU 27 have said, every single time, all the time, that the four freedoms are indivisible and that cherry picking is verboten. I suppose what I mean is that the article displays the depth, and confirms the reality of, May's delusional take on the Brexit reality, and her personal approach to this type of thing is authoritarian secrecy.

One thing I'm curious about... the people on LFGSS who voted Leave, and who have since expressed that this is not what they voted for... this time, are you going to vote tactically to provide opposition to what this Government are doing in your name, based on the mandate that they believe you gave them?

doff of the cap for asking that ^^
problem is that people dont like to admit mistakes,
and they especially dont like to admit they got sold a fucking joke by the media and the current bunch of stunt actors -

Terrifying.
Is it? I don't understand this conclusion.
We know that Brussels/Berlin want a slow brexit. This is a tactic to make leaving the EU appear (more?) unattractive.
We know that this is a leak and on message.

That May et al are so far from understanding the nature of the negotiations they are about to enter.
-
• #8566
How would you know this?
-
• #8567
Because reading leaks from offices of one side of the negotiations is fine. But it needs to be seen as what it is. It's just spin for positioning and shouldn't be considered as a reliable, impartial overview of events.

Not many on here voted leave, or are they now silent. Only @señor_bear seemed to own his view and said he'd still vote the same.
Posting here is confirmation bias. Perhaps we should be posting in the daily mail comments threads

I have never voted anything other than Labour and see no change coming.
I also live in SE1 which is safe as fuck.

There's not much quality of debate or understanding on here as to why people voted Leave. I imagine most who post on LFGSS and voted Leave probably got bored of this thread after it was just reduced to being racist, thick, in need of education by their intellectual superiors or a cunt.
From what I've seen elsewhere though, both on YouGov polls and forums with a more representative split of leave/remain most leave voters don't yet think that things are going badly and I've seen people who previously wouldn't have contemplated voting for the tories now thinking of doing so to shore up the Leave position.
Terrifying.
