  • SRAM single speed levers don't have a return spring, so the lever needs fixing in place.

Easiest I've found is just to use electrical tape: the other methods get FUBAR when someone inevitably comes along and gives your levers a squeeze.

  • Cable both levers to the front brake?

  • Gonna cost a lots more than just fitting a cable inside it and lock it in place

  • Oh for sure. Just another option. Then you can carry your Starbucks in either hand too.

  • A short length of cable (or the spring from a ballpoint pen) are neater solutions, but if the lever is inadvertently pulled it's a lot more work to put it right.

  • I suggested electrical tape before (works for me) and tester had a better suggestion (obviously 😊). Can't remember what it was though.

  • The Cane Creek ones have a spring in them, so that's a nice detail.

  • Self amalgamating tape (I think it's called)

  • Current project is current. Chinese - made Carbonda CFR505 "gravel" model, thanks to the influence of @amey
Shimano 105/hydraulics, DT Swiss wheels, 700x30 tubeless G-one speed tires.
Using it as my road bike (didn't have a proper road bike previously), rides really good!

  • 3 or 4 zip ties is the answer imo. Even after yanking in blind panic a few times they never broke.

  • maybe just add a second brake if you're in such panics that often

  • Attempting UK/Japanese build, steel track frame. Royce hubs, anybody recommend rims?

  • I'd ordered a custom track fork for my project

  • The steerer length and thread is a fuck up surely?

It's still a very nice looking flat crown fork :)

  • Yes, nice to see another one of these!

Maybe de-sticker the seatpost and get a black bearing cover for the headtube.

    For the blackness.

  • how much did you pay?

  • If you feel disappointed then I would send them back. At the end of the day you have paid for a service and that service hasn't been fulfilled to your requirements. I'd think about how much you paid then decide if the trouble of returning it is worth it or not.

Edit: yeah - what @Gaston said

  • @Gaston Il me faisait deja de l'oeil à l'époque ou Christofuck en était le propriétaire, quand j'ai eu l'occasion de l'acheter je n'ai pas hésité.

@Simba Custom track fork with chrome option cost 150€ without shipping (including Columbus Chromor tubing & Paragon drop out)

  • I love the pantos on the fork, does he offer custom ones though?
    Also ID on rims?

  • fun !

  • Max Max. Looks ace

  • Is there a frictionless 10 speed flat bar shifter?
