  • Probably the right place to ask, do we think that painting frame, mudguards and stem in the same finish on a modernish functional/road build would be way overkill? Just two of the above, or anyone seen all 3 done well? I seem to remember there was a yellow Surly that did that, but can't find it now.

  • Depends what what you woul class as overkill!

    Jake Rusby has done this on a few bikes. It can go either way in my opinion. Colour choice would play a big part in which way it went...

    considered painting the frame one colour, and then the frame graphics, stem and guards all in a complimetary alternate colour? Like this Mosaic, but with guards.

  • Yeah neither of those are really doing it for me tbh. I found that surly, I think maybe this sort of scheme (not as lairy a colour) could be good: frame stem and rack co-ordinated. Much like the Salsa Casseroll too which I thought was a decent looking bike.

    Did I imagine seeing something about you going public with your painting services?

  • That pump should be mounted the other way around and then that Mosaic would be perfectly aligned
