I didn't an all year commute on an mt07 and it was fine (with heated grips)

Cool, i haven't heated grips (amateur i know) but do have knuckle guards (well worth fitting if you haven't)

Moving house soon so after that I'll be eyeing up a new bike.
It's either going to be a used Africa Twin (modern era) or a MT09.

Hope the cheque lands soon

If you're looking for something comparable to the Africa twin, I'd go for the Tracer 900. All the get up and go of the MT09 but with the practically of the twin
