saw R5s earlier. dirt cheap and look pretty good. why so cheap?
anyone know what sizing is like? 45 in giro and sidi
-
• #3532
I have a pair of the Fizik R3 used only a handful of times you can have for cheaps
-

nylon sole .. honestly stay with Sidi, although its shoes I don't think they are a fashion thing in cycling .. comfort/fit > grams
-
• #3534
as amey says, nylon sole. anything below r3s isn't worth the bother (I think r4's are some sort of carbon/not-carbon frankenstein blend).

Just get Bonts :)
-
• #3541
I actually find them so repulsively ugly I could never buy a pair
-
• #3542
Bonts are retarded.

U wot m8?
They're by far the comfiest shoes I've tried. Proper size toe box, infinitely moldable and stiff as all hell.
-
• #3544
Do you have any nerve endings in your feet?
-
• #3545
infinitely moldable
-
• #3546
Yep, nerves that aren't crying out in pain like when I wore sidis, and my big toe isn't numb like it was after 3 weeks touring in Shimano mtb shoes.
@Zed they can be repeatedly heated and shaped to fit your feet. Works a treat for me :)

I have these, I admit they are not the best looking road shoes but quite easy on the eyes compared to some other bonts.

Clean and simple, unsure on the name..

what are the current go to trendy cycling shoes? I have been needing to replace my sidis for a while now (been going for 4 years). I want the giro empire ACC black/black in a 45 but they are sold out basically everywhere. don't really want to spend over £200 either
Giro have stopped making the ACCs in Black/Black so you'll struggle to find them although if you do they'll probably be cheap. The jump up to the SLX is a fair wedge but they really feel like a better shoe.
Mavic actually make some alright stuff nowadays, right on the £200 mark

Looks like a £100 Specialized though
Empire slx are usually about £100 second hand and once you get to used the laces are brilliant.
