I seem to remember we had this at one point, but I can't find it in the thread:
Ron Arad's bicycle wheel.

Even more useless/weird -

Would walking around with a set of those count as going equipped?

Actually not the worst idea in the world

I was thinking about this exact thing a couple of days ago. Didn't someone on here make something similar to this using old skateboards/griptape?

These have been available for a couple years on aliexpress

Just watched a video of it in action- absolute boneshaker and wouldn't want to try to take a corner with them.

Link?

we assume that electronic magnets will control the speed of rebound and compression using either science, magic or a combination of the two.
With magnets acting as the “spring” Canyon’s designers then turned their attention to simplifying the linkage. Their solution is to have as few pivot points as possible and instead rely on flex built into the carbon rear end.
Not an engineer but this doesn't make sense to me. Surely the unpivoted carbon rear end is itself the spring, and the magnets are dampers?

On the topic of converting, is there a three-bolt solution like the Retrofitz for mtb cleats?
Preferably aliexpress, preferably dirt cheap? Or is it wedge those metal adapters into the insole and hope it's not excruciating to pedal on?

I did that with a pair of trainers by hacking up some really cheap cycling shoes (a pair with knackered uppers would work fine) and sticking the sole with the cleat holes into some trainers https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/134357/?offset=950#comment10150444

That's how I understood it.
All a load of complete bollocks if you ask me, though.

Leaf spring?

Motorcycle history is littered with the corpses of anti-dive forks which have failed to set the world alight.

I'd never trust a fork manufacturer that uses the annoying tautology of "front fork" out of principle.

What about the rear fork?
Thanks for your explanation.
