• Found and bought a frame at the last minute yesterday (when will i learn)
    All i know is it was advertised as "Raleigh SBDU vintage track replica Reynolds 531" and the following pictures. Hoping someone can help identify it. Rear brake stay and odd forks aren't helping.



  • I'm not an expert on Raleigh frame numbers, but they are normally stamped sideways on, parallel to the bb cups.

  • It looks a teeny bit suspect to me.... I hope I'm wrong but bottle cage braze-ons, rear brake bridge and thickness of that BB lug suggest it may be more 'replica' than 'SBDU'
    I'm not an expert on Raleigh either
    Forks look nice though!

  • Your best bet would be to fully uncover the number - when I was dating my Raleigh, I found that with a bit of searching Raleigh's records were relatively easy to find, then it was simply a case of working out what bits the number meant what
