I built mine up from mainly second hand parts (including frame) for about £8-900 I think. Deals to be had on eBay and elsewhere too.

How small are you that a medium is too big? That's a great bargain, no love for 26" anymore but it's all you need.

problem is smaller sizes are difficult to find. Will keep an eye out.
