What's the best option for saddlebag sweets?
Nature. Often imitated, never surpassed. :)

Celebrating the end of a rad first week with dirty vegan pizza from Mr Singh's.
Biggest upheaval has been having black coffee if a customer offers me a cuppa. Other than that it's been just peachy.

Congrats, pizza looks delish.
Drinking coffee black forces you to only drink good coffee :), you'll love it in no time!

Getting back into cooking again... Nasi Goreng tonight.... Mac + cheese last week (Sainsbury's "chhese" cooks a treat) and a carrot cake - topping failed a bit, but tastes awesome! Bread and spiced apple cake the other day....
Loving being vegan!

I'm a tree surgeon, I work at other people's houses. I get what I'm given when it comes to coffee.
I've had everything from Mellow fucking Birds to single origin flat whites made in artisanal copper kettles over the last month. The pizza was banging. Mr Singh's is def a winner. Delivery guy was hella friendly and the first heavy metal Sikh I've met.

Great stuff, I'm never one to turn down a nice cup o joe. I actually more meant that adding milk masks the taste, you'll get used to black in no time
Or you can carry around a carton of your favourite milk alternative for when your out on jobs :)

Yeah, but I assume people would think I was a cunt if I did that..
To be fair most of my work is Hampstead, Highgate, Crouch End etc so their fridges are probably full of soya etc.Sunny and Lovely Maria who run the cafe at the yard took the piss when I gave them a carton of oatly the other day for my morning cappuccino.
Now I won't be buying cheese croissants every morning I'm hurting their profits so I guess a little dig is understandable... -

The first heavy metal Sikh I've met
Let me introduce you to my OH sometime. She got banned from Koko last night for throwing a drink over Deafheaven's singer because he was doing Nazi salutes. So very proud...

That sounds almost newsworthy, venue has got that spectacularly wrong.

first heavy metal Sikh I've met
Back in the day, I used to take PA out and do roadie stuff. Used to do a lot of Asian weddings in the Leeds/Bratfud area.
There was a Sikh Tabla band that did a lot of the entertainment, they used to soundcheck on tradition instruments with Motorhead / AC/DC / Metalica songs. Was always great fun!

Rad. Sounds like a cool scene.
Have discovered Edgy Veg channel on YouTube. She's the queen of vegan McDonald's recipes. Win.
Snossage rolls for lunchbox this week using happy pear's recipe. Bit saltier than expected but tasty.

I got it from Bosh! on Facebook .....they have some good stuff...
I messed up the topping - didn't use the right proportions.... came to put 3.5 cups of icing sugar in and it just seemed SO much I couldn't use it all!!
Oh, and it was unrefined sugar which might not have helped....

Went to Mother in Hackney Wick for breakfast on Friday. Best milkshakes I've ever had, although pretty pricey. Porridge is also delicious, and the tahini/caramel slices are ridiculous.

For some reason the indie press and the band's fans are willing to overlook the Nazi posturing. It's been reported on and off for several years, but no one seems to give a shit. They're rich hipster kids that want metal credibility. They suck and their popularity is baffling.

Snossage rolls were a hit with the lads this morning and stodged me up for a morning of topping conifers.
Depending on your standpoint on honey/beeswax:
Also, I think halal/kosher alternatives like haribo do tend to be gelatine free.
