  • surely that is a warranty claim. crank looks hardly used and its just coming apart like that. have you spoken to cannondale?

    I was looking at the design of the arms when I read your post. It's odd, because the threads that accepts the removal tool seems to be only on the outer half of the arm, but the axle is pressed on to the inner half... so when you use the removal tool, you are pulling the inner half off the axle through the outer half of the arm - which I would have thought would make it susceptible to ^ this type of failure.

    tl;dr if you used the correct tooling and torques I'd get on their case for a warranty replacement.

    That said, you are supposed to remove the NDS arm and whack the the axle and DS arm out with a mallet.
