Looking for advice for my first bike! :)

Hello Everyone!
I am totally new to bikes and therefore I'd love to have your advice!
I am looking for a single speed bike, a 50 cm frame, possibly light, for commuting, my budget is low but sort of flexible. Below 400£ for sure. If lower even better. Happy to go for second hand as well.
What should I be looking for?

Dolan Precursa, eastway esaki are rated and good value but best value for money will be second hand on here for sure. Keep an eye on the classifieds or put up an ad in the wanted section of classifieds

^^Fine bikes, but probably not the best for single speed commuter duties as they're intended to be used on the track. Specialized Langster, Genesis Flyer, Charge Plug, Doaln FXE, or the On-One Pompino. New or used, you probably can't wrong with one of those.
