Being rich relates to what you OWN not so much to what you EARN. Linking richness to income was a mistake in the original article

Agree. It's the wrong word. Quite how the shadow CotE can drop such a clanger is beyond me but then not much surprises at the moment, does it?

If the shadow only has to be as good as the office holder, then economic literacy has not been a job requirement this century.
