Ooops... I've never cleaned any of my camelbaks. :S
You're lucky! Mine had some black slime growing in it. I could shit through the eye of a needle for 2 weeks and I lost a lot of weight. Silver lining to that Camelbak I guess :)
I also only ever put water through them. I had a bottle on the downtube on TD, which I put electrolytes in, just to keep the Camelbak scuzz free.

Many of my bottles are black on the inside. But then, I am black on the inside so perhaps that's why I don't notice anything. #iambecomedeath #ironguts

I use sterident, it is amazingly effective. No aftertaste, which is an issue I have had with other options.

I only use water in them though. This will likely change during TABR - ALL the colas!
57g for one of those mini filters. I remember looking at them before but thinking they were a bit overkill given that I'm on the road and not out in the bush like you guys.
