Don't think they do. That tread's quite limited in variation compared to more popular ones like Racing Ralph & Nobby Nic.

The full sus has the stupid performance line stuff on it but I can't bring myself to bin them or even bother to tubelessify them.

I've found the Pacestar pretty grippy. The Trailstar must be super-soft.

The Trance came with a Trailstar front and a Paceline rear. Doin it right.

In the winter I run two 2.35 nobby nic's, which are, possibly the slowest on rode tyres of all time. Fantastic in the mud though.

FWIW I'd view crotch grabbing while racing as extremely dodgy. The one place I wanted a dropper was Wasing and the run up to the drops was tight single track where full concentration was needed before chickening out to the B or C line!

I've 90% convinced myself that I should buy a mountain bike.

I did a bit of bmx as a kid, and I've ridden a non suspension late 80s mtb round some tracks in Scotland (in my youth). Last week I went round some of Cli-Machx in Wales and now want to do more.

So I'm basically a beginner.

Best bet to get a decent hard tail bike? Or is that just paving the way to inevitably having to buy a full sus bike within a year?

I want an all round bike which I can ride up and down hills and trails. I am not going to be doing any racing or anything madly technical, but I would like to tackle some good descents in due course.

Any suggestions welcome - currently quite like the look of this:

Thanks - I like the look of the Whyte.

Having watched some more stuff on youtube, think maybe the Canyon is a bit too racy for my requirements.
