Drilled and tapped my track ends to fit some chromoplatics on my rumrunner a couple of weeks ago. Had some clearance issues on the fork so had to downsize the front tire to 25mm which is a compromise. Used polymorph to attach the clip near my bb, secured with a trusty cable tie. Riding in the rain is a much less soggy affair now and I don't have to worry about race blades working themselves loose and dramatically flying into my spokes.
Thanks, it came out cleaner than expected. The idea is tuggable release in case of puncture. Rather than dismantling the whole assembly. Not really worried about debris in the front guard from city road riding so it made sense to me.
