I have 45mm pdw guards with mini-vs on my cross-check. There's sometimes a bit of rub but never needed any material removed. Worked fine with sks before that too.

I am about to try this very thing, just waiting for the guards to arrive. SKS Longboard 45mm, Tektro RX5 mini-v, 35mm Continental CycloCross Speed tyres on a Bombtrack Arise. Will update with success/failure.

I know this has probably been covered a thousand times but what experience do people have fitting full 'guards with mini-vs. Are there any that don't require you to cut/burn a hole for the brake?
