Impossible to do the dark blue metallic paintjob justice under artificial light but you'll get the idea...

The color looks much better out in the sun. The project is on hold for a moment while I try to source a set of 172.5mm 110 BCD Tune Fast Foot cranks so I can get them polished and engraved.

That looks incredible. More photos please.

Thanks, I'll post some more pics when the wheels are done: polished Ambrosio Zenith hubs, silver Sapim spokes and dark grey Ambrosio Nemesis rims with Veloflex tubular tires. Wheels in the photo are old Campy 5-speed with Mavic MA2 and only used for the pic.

Dunno what ever happened to BTP but still had one of their carbon downtube shifters waiting for this bike. Campagnolo bits and a Syntace titanium bolt...

Now that the Peugeot is completed I best get on with this love affair with the devil...

A bit tired of searching for the correct nos Tune Bigfoots so I think about completing this build with carbon Ultra-Torgue instead. If I ever run into the right Tune cranks (172.5mm, silver arms, black 110mm spider, in perfect condition) I can always replace the UT cranks.
Bar tape is Brooks leather, stops are Gilles Berthoud with the logos removed. Think they are a nice match to the custom top cap with Campagnolo bolt...

I like this a lot.
A pair of silver Campagnolo cranks wouldn't look too bad either though -

Lovely

I did consider those but this bike has a reasonable amount of carbon parts (Ergopowers, derailleur, seat post, down tube shifter) so I opted for carbon UT instead. Installed my alu Chorus cranks on my Peugeot instead.
Waiting for some replacement chainring bolts and the new tires to complete this built. Will post pics of the bike when finished :)

Pornworthy. Carbon UT is a good idea. Looking forward to the finished result!

After almost three months and approx. 2,200 kilometres I can only say that the "Mefistofele" is bloody perfect. Corne Bouman made a color-matched custom leather saddle roll for me and I'm thinking about having a Topeak pump painted in the same dark blue metallic color. I did destroy a front tire due to a misaligned brake pad and I had to replace the saddle after I broke its rail on a speed-bump. But otherwise it runs like clockwork. Switched a few times between Mavic Ceramics with 25mm Veloflex Master (pictured) and Mavic tubulars with 22mm Conti tubes. Treating the gumwalls with Aquasure (as recommened by Dugast) certainly extends the durability of the tires. Always loved Brooks leather bartape for its feel but also for the fact that it only takes some common shoe polish and an old rag when it starts to look a but dull or worn. The Deda ZeroUno frame gives great comfort, it will be my preferred ride for a very long time...
