NJS frames with tight clearance?

Posted on
  • Hey everybody!

Which NJS keirin manufacturers have in your opinion the tightest clearance overall.
    What I'm looking for is:

    1. very very tight wheel clearance (to down-tube, seat-tube and fork-crown)
    2. small rake (steep headtube angle)
    3. straight fork crown
    4. compact overall geometry

I do have a Makino, but it's not as slammed as I'd loved to.

    Much appreciated!

    Best,
    Alex

  • you can cold set your fork for tighter downtube clearances by riding into a wall quite quickly. try and do it straight on to avoid any lateral adjustments

  • Bridgestones are tight:

  • @Trasher: Yes, that's true... I did notice that Bridgestones tend to have tight clearance at the fork, I just couldn't find any one of those available till now. For example, I was looking at this one, but it doesn't seem to be so slammed

  • just run a bigger tyre then..

  • You going to ride it on the track?

  • Don't know yet. But even if once or twice, it will be mainly for the road.

  • Most njs frames are custom built for the need of each specific racer. So geometry and clearances will always differ.
