You are not imagining things, I'm on 56/57's these days.

Thanks, good point. I know, but others might not.

I've bent thousands of the things back into place over the years. They only ever come back when the customer has leant the bike down or on something too hard, which would happen on a new one too. Plus most aren't straight when they're new.

So has I, and ditto on new bike (even with new hanger, it's off by a couple millimetres).
I'm talking about when it's beyond 5mm out of alignment, enough to even cause an 7 speed derailleur to mis-shift.

Continuing my tinkering phase atm, I've been taking the road bike out for a spin and I realised that it still doesn't feel right with the current -10 stem.
Pro vibe though finally brought out a 1 1/4 -17 stem and I finally purchased it, however, (me being me) the inital and only place I found it was on eBay and I decided to go for it and it would take 2 weeks to arrive. Then to only to do more research and found it on bike24 which would have been here by the end of next week! #FML
Anyways, aside from this, the BB30 was cleaned and regreased for the spring/summer miles:

Thanks but the Nemo or the Max ?
Done 40km with the Max and it's was very nice experience, heavy but realy stiff almost comfy and very safe downhill ! -

Was talking of the Annequinne Nemo.
But looking back, yeah the Max too. Had thought it a colnago at first glance.

Aren't they linear pull brake levers? Or do they have a setting for side pulls?
-
• #113913
Good question, thought it's those hybrid short-pull levers/shifter but look almost like an MTB one.
-

Indeed, it's a linear pull brake lever from my old mtb. It's not ideal but it works surprisingly well. Buying parts wasn't really an option since my friend is notoriously broke and it would have pushed the budget beyond the self-imposed 100€ limit for the full build.
p.s. while we're on the sibject and for future reference: what would be a good and reasonably priced option for side-pull flat bar brake levers? -

Shimano Sora

Thanks a lot!

Don't see the point in changing, I've used a variety of lever and brake combos and really like the feel and power of linear levers with side pulls. The side pull specific flat bar levers supposedly give more "modulation" but in fact this means they feel mushier.

After months of anger attempting to find the internal cable routing I've eventually got it. No more rattling top tube, and no more taped on cables.

Very nice.

Google 'Brenizer method'. Normally used on natural subjects so may not be so great applied to a bike but stitching software is pretty much magic these days so you never know.

@Dammit bloody lovely, been waiting for decent pics of the Klein since seeing it in the back of the car on Instagram. Am I imagining it or have you gone down a frame size?
