I've bent thousands of the things back into place over the years. They only ever come back when the customer has leant the bike down or on something too hard, which would happen on a new one too. Plus most aren't straight when they're new.
So has I, and ditto on new bike (even with new hanger, it's off by a couple millimetres).
I'm talking about when it's beyond 5mm out of alignment, enough to even cause an 7 speed derailleur to mis-shift.
