I have a Campagnolo Chorus 102mm cartridge bottom bracket and currently have on it a Daytona chainset, from the 9 speed era (i think). The clearance between the small chain ring and frame is just too small. What were the suitable chainsets for the 102mm cartridge bottom brackets?
I have checked the 2006 Campy spare parts catalogue, and I believe that either the 10 speed Record or Chorus crankset would be compatible. I also checked the 1999 9 speed spare parts catalogue, and the BB and crankset seem almost identical to the 10 speed versions. Would this mean that 9 speed or 10 speed Record/Chorus cranksets would both fit exactly the same on the 102mm cartridge bb? Do these cranksets give the correct clearance?
Hope you folks could help me out! Thanks in advance.
From 1995 (when Campag started putting the groupset name on components), Record and Chorus switched to a 102mm BB, all other groups continued to use 111mm.
