A bit late - but when I went from a 15mm internal width rim to a 19mm my 25mm labelled Veloflex Corsas went from a measured 23.5mm to 25.4mm. For me that would mean a pressure drop of about 15PSI so pretty significant, though granted it's a big step up in rim width. If you want wider tires then the best thing to do is obviously to buy wider tires.
How does rim width affect tyre profile?
If the same tyre is fitted on two different rims i.e. 17mm or 19mm is this a noticeable?
