Ok after reading that thread it looks like I should get the bb chased and faced. Also a new gxp bb installed.
That usually covered under the bottom bracket service.
edit - notice you found this, if you are to take it to Evans, please be sure to tell the guy to write it down that you want it face and chase too.

Anyone know how much Evans charge for this? Will purchase a gxp bb there as well.
EDIT - Evans website says £25 including frame prep.
