I disagree.
Because it's made out of a softer material and designed to break, even if it's just over 5mm out of alignment, I would strongly recommend replacing it.

Softer material would bend sooner than break.

Of course I would replace it too, I mean, you've already got a new one, but I wouldn't worry a lot about bending it Back a few mm's.

I've bent thousands of the things back into place over the years. They only ever come back when the customer has leant the bike down or on something too hard, which would happen on a new one too. Plus most aren't straight when they're new.

It's not that much bent.. you could've bent it back, happens all the time at bikeshops.
