How do people stop their cats chewing on wires? One of mine loves chewing electrical cables, and aside from having to replace my phone charger every other month, I'm worried he's gonna electrocute himself.

Reviews aren't great.

Have used it in the past for rabbits and it worked fine. Usually just coating the wires in vinegar of lemon helps.

Get one of these
and leave it near the wires. Ours have been thoroughly put off weeing in naughty places by a couple of them!

Workmate bought a kitten on gumtree last week under the pretense it was a british blue longhair. I said it looked like it's going to be massive, it has super huge paws. She just got back from the vet who is convinced it's half maine coon. Bit more than she bargained for!

Yeah, I warned her about buying on gumtree. Turns out the poor little bugger has ear mites as well as gigantism.

Anyone wants to give a Norwegian Forest kitten a home? 6 weeks I think. I was sent an everyone included email today from a colleague. Free to a loving home. I would if Patch is as much as doesn't mind another cat, but she hates them and would eat the kitten for dinner...

What colour? Any pics?

Which is why I said I would give it a home but I also know what would happen... And to be honest, I think they are a little too big for me to handle... They can easily be twice the size a normal moggy, no?

Spooky isn't necessarily reacting all that well to the new baby (human, not cat).

I've also been working a lot lately (at home for the moment to assist with extra cooking/nappies etc) so I'm often sat at my desk catching up on work overnight - like now. He's spent about 20 minutes sat on the keyboard, staring at me, trying to hit me - drawing blood a few times on my lip while I tried to get on with things, occasionally giving him some attention but obviously not enough.

Eventually he gave me a hard whack to the eye so I picked him up, not roughly, and put him down behind me. He saunters off. Next thing I know he's jumped up my back (in one leap, not a 'climb') and is gripping onto my neck with his claws (more blood drawn and very painful) and trying to bite my throat doing that hind-leg kick thing to my spine.

Anyone want a bored/stressed/vindictive Burmese?

Would you say there's enough of him for gloves and slippers?

In terms of skins one or the other, but I'm confident enough could be scraped off the rugs to fill a queen size duvet.

But seriously, If we were in your situation we'd try feliway and zylkene tablets.

Zylkene is a non prescription tablet that appears to work wonders for feline stress.

Maybe your vet has other suggestions too. It's not unusual to see this.

Finally, on a more sombre note, my sister in law is a paadeatrician and treats new born babies with cat bites on a monthly and occasionally weekly basis. It happens more than people like to believe...be careful.
