Amazing!

Yes. Urban foxes and cats seem to tolerate each other with no problems. I once caught Sam8 sitting in the road nose to nose with a fox, having a staring competition. Other times they didn't seem the slightest bit bothered the other was around.

We have a fox and her cub under our shed! Spotted for the first time Friday gone and only seen once again since. As mentioned above, have read that foxes and cats tolerate each other pretty well, though may get aggressive/violent if protecting young.
We have two kitties, so are keeping an eye on the situation, not that we feel we can do much about it apart from locking the cats in, which we are not keen to do. Our cats usually just watch the foxes that pop by in the garden, and are locked in overnight, though they return home later as the summer progresses (11-midnight).
Will try to post a couple of pictures that I took of the foxes. They are so damn cute. Very temped to feed them, though if they end up injuring my cats, I may regret doing so!

Our cat and a fox used to sleep in the sun in the garden of our old place feet away from each other no problems.

We had a fox have a litter of 6 cubs on the railway embankment behind our house last spring. Generally our cat and the adult foxes tolerated each other, but once the cat came in through the cat flap at warp speed closely pursued by a fox. I think he may have got a bit too close to the cubs for comfort.

It's pretty unusual. He must have either got close to the cubs or they just startled each other.

That's a beautiful feline, glad he's found a home. Do you regularly look after cats in pre-adoption phase? Must be hard saying goodbye to them every time... looking at the pic I thought
- bitey: check
- jumps on shoulders: check
- dwells on laundry rack: check
- white & red fur: check
might be related to our Suzy (except maybe for the 'intelligence' claim) ;-)

He's a Norwegian forest cat, so a bit bigger than regular domestic cats - but a surprisingly low amount of shedding.

Lula Balula the gremlin cat enjoying a head scratch. She isn't fond of pats & attention which we have learnt to accept & understand boundaries. She does however love having head butt & will groom your hair in thanks. Definitely looks like butter wouldn't melt but don't trust that furry, cuteness!

Just done some brief research and apparently the typical urban fox shares territory with 100s of cats and they inevitably cross paths all the time without incident.
