when the package arrived it contained only a single brake cable...

How many nipples? It would be possible to send one cable which would make a front/rear set if both ends had nipples.

One measly stupid proprietary vision nipple.

Which is precisely the problem... I already have several perfectly nice sets of brake cables to fit sram, shimano and campag, but no... FSA have to be different.

Stupid TT biek, I'll go back to running if it keeps causing me trouble.

Well, Campag cable is different to Shimano/SRAM...
