I haven't, but there are already marks on the chainstay from the 'awesome power' I transmitted through the 50t so I assumed it wouldn't be a good idea. I will give it a go and report back...

That was my next question - how much does your BB spindle flex in reaction to chain tension? Maybe time to upgrade to a crank with a fat axle :)
Does the Octalink not count?
Omniums are notorious chainstay-ticklers - Sugino 75 DD?
Surely it's rear that flexes, not the spindle?
