Now. Washing lines.
Is it insane to try and run one along a fence panel? Using the fence posts as the point to put a bracket with line between (probably two lines)?I haven't done a physics expt since i was 18 and maths and moments an things like that.

Are the fence posts concrete?
Recently helped (inept) friends relocate a washing line.
Inadequate handle they sourced to tie 'this' end of line to, was a bit too long.
My attempt to drill the required 6mm holes was spot on ....... for the thin bits of reinforcing steel! It ripped the cross-piece of the masonry bit straight out!
Friends got adequately secured washing line, I got new 6mm masonry bit.

Drilling down the central line of the concrete fence post should be ok.
