WTD: Beater/Ratty Geared Frame (54|56cm)

Hello all,

Having cracked my beloved Kona Dew Drop - the first halfway decent bike - I find myself lamenting the lack of shifters (and applicable gears) in my life, especially given my locale; which brings me to my next pertinent point, living in deepest, darkest Wales I would need this posted.

Righty-ho, down to business, I shall be requiring the following:

●54/55/56cm
●Ideally 700c compatible
●Geared dropouts
●Caliper/Canti brake compatibility
●Steel/Aluminum/Ti/Carbon*
●Ability to post

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, it has to be cheap! (In addition to lacking options, I'm lacking funds!).

Ebay is your friend. It takes a while but if you go through the categories rather than searching a keyword. ie Sporting goods > Cycling > Bikes (or bike frames). Filter condition to used and sort by lowest price or ending soonest and get looking. There'll be a load of crap but this way you don't miss anything by searching the wrong thing. Two mates of mine have both had full Cannondale CAADs for a shade over a hundred

Cheers for the heads-up, Phil. I regularly scour eBay for biek bits but I haven't attempted to search in the manner you described, Ill go ahead and give it a go.

How about partially carbon? Got a Specialized Epic lugged carbon frameset in 54cm. Previous owner has sanded the top tube to reveal the carbon and then given up halfway, hence beater status. £45?
