Ti not recommended for stem bolts, seats posts and racks
Having read more widely... and because I was curious, not because I am intending to go round swapping bolts... it is aluminium that cannot be used for stem bolts, seat post bolts and anything that bears a heavy load.
Titanium can be used absolutely anywhere and the only exception are pivot bolts on full suspension frames which specify a high-tensile steel (not applicable to almost every bike on LFGSS).
Some stats on weights and torques (includes a mention of the "don't use Al on stems and seat posts": http://weightweenies.starbike.com/articles.php?ID=16
All irrelevant as I like standard steel bolts... but TIL, so that's cool.
Ti not recommended for stem bolts, seats posts and racks. I forgot why but these will brake.
