• Oh, I'm not quite there with needing ti bolts everywhere. I would use whatever came in the mounting pack for the rack, probably bog standard steel ones.

  • Will update later how he advised against the rack but while it might sound nice ti is more a material not ideal for racks and what they have to do. And it wasn't that you can't weld them touring around the world.

    I am not thinking of the Tubus Airy, that was just the first found through a quick google, but it looks too narrow on top to actually be of interest. I am less likely to be using panniers, and only request the mount points so that I could have a small platform to strap a tent to.

    But in general, I hadn't seen arguments against ti racks even though I haven't yet looked into exactly which rack I might get in the future.

    Edit: Another quick google... probably the Lynskey Nomad. Looks wide enough on top, and comes with bottle openers. What more could you want in a rack?
