  • One simply cannot be seen on a Quietway with 55mm deep carbon wheels. I'd need at least a pannier to feel comfortable.

  • Perhaps there's something quite deliberate about that - look we run tings

    Nah. Like 6pt, I was trapped in Borough. At the top of Tooley Street, you could neither turn left, toward Elephant nor right toward the City. I asked the Bobby blocking the road how I could get to Blackfriars, and if the bridge was open or closed, and he had no idea.

    Whenever the Police close the roads - such as when there is an accident - they NEVER direct the traffic, they just let it build and build.

  • I rode my DA Di2 full carbon bike on Q1 yesterday and thinking about putting some HED track wheels on this for regular Q1 usage if @laner sells them to me.

    There is no judgement on Q1.

  • ^^At 8am you could just walk through the road block and carry on cycling. I went through Borough and over London Bridge. Did they totally block it later on?

  • I suppose I can make up a small sign saying "I'M ON A RECOVERY RIDE, OK" and ride in the little ring.

  • make up a jersey and i'd wear it everidae

  • Sweet looking ride

  • No matter how bad your day was, you weren't the guy I saw being hit in the face by a fleeing pigeon on the e-w superhighway this evening.*

    *unless you were. in which case sorry to laugh at your misfortune.

  • I've had a goose removed from my front wheel in Hyde Park though.

  • Scary SPD un-clip going south on Vauxhall Bridge last night. Launched me right out of the saddle.
    Held on to it and managed to clip back in again but still shook me up a little.

    Cleats don't even look that worn. Might replace anyway for my own peace of mind...

  • #Q1report

    Nothing unusual apart from distinct lack of cyclists this morning .. I took it very Q.

    @dubtap ?

  • BMXed to work. Much fun

  • This does happen to me sometimes, do you walk about in them?

  • Two days in a row I've been riding in primary and got tailgated - yesterday it was by a bus on Waterloo bridge, when he had loads of room to move right and overtake, but he came alongside me and pointed out the tiny crappy cycle lane to me. Took it zen though, cos it's a bus and you're supposed to give way to them anyway. Today was a white van speeding towards a red light on Albion Rd/Newington Green, with definitely not enough space to overtake safely. Dickheads. Weather was nice though

  • Some weird bmx bloke on the CS1 calling me a prick and constantly laughing as i kept overtaking. Unnecessary hatred

  • Anyone over the age of 16 riding a BMX >>>>>

  • Spinaci style extensions + risers = fun commute

  • hehe, well sad for him he looked way above 25.

  • cos it's a bus and you're supposed to give way to them

    Yes, but that does not mean the same as "be subservient and allow them to drive not in accordance with the highway code". They still have to overtake you legally.

  • got cuntpassed by a thicko driving a lambeth council liveried vehicle who then gave it the verbalz at the lights.

    grassed to lambeth council.

  • Ah its just because you haven't tried it/are shit on a BMX. Its a lot of fun.

  • @PhilDAS

    BMXed to work. Much fun

    @SamDev

    Some weird bmx bloke on the CS1

    Suspicious that ;)

  • Haha it does look that way. I'm south west though so wasn't me!
    No shouting from me, just bunny hops and manuals

  • Makes me really miss my bmx. There's such a nice little run on my commute around 3 Mills. Though turning up to work covered in blood isn't a great look.
