Crimping onto his doormat whilst pleading ignorance.

To add my tuppence well after it's needed, Walworth Road is not the best route anywhere. I used to live just off it. I like the Portman Rd option in evenings. I go next road along in mornings to avoid lots of cyclists but Portland still 100x better than Walworth Rd.
Milkwood is a fucking disaster with all those traffic islands that no fucker ever uses because there's only houses on one side. It really pisses me off. +1 for Shakespeare.

Yeah daylight in both directions some days. Loving it.

Had somebody suck my wheel for about a mile between the Den and Willow Walk on Q1 this morning. Arrived at the lights with me fresh as a daisy and him panting like he'd just been in a sprint. Commuter smugness is the best way to start a Thursday.

I've still not really worked out how to get onto Portland street... Do you go around Heygate Street? Then Wells Way across the park?
-
• #16982
I'm going to put unwrapped fruit in the raw meat section. As long as it's not touching, it's ok right?

Up Heygate, round the corner, then down the cycle path on the right next to the ped crossing, take a look at the map attached.

Meanwhile, a colleague who runs everywhere including commuting from Camden to Mayfair return is persuaded by her new flat mate to Boris instead. £60 fine for cycling in Regents Park. She didn't know she is supposed to stick to the busy rush hour roads. Are you reading this Mr Mayor?
-
• #16986
That's fucked, you're not allowed to cycle in the park??
-
• #16987
Amazing thanks!

The paper bag of poo heeds no pleas.
-
• #16989
Yep. That's right. And it's signposted too so miscreants have no defence. I'm sure foreign visitors innocently transgressing are given a warning but H who is newish to N London and interested in cycling (was interested in cycling - no longer interested in cycling) was given no leeway.

You're not allowed to cycle along the bits that say "No Cycling", e.g. https://goo.gl/maps/tm6BNzE3CmA2
The roads are fine, as are some of the paths (turn 180 deg round from that Streetview image and you'll see the other way is just "No Skating").
-
• #16991
yeah it's pretty obvious you aren't allowed to cycle there
-
• #16992
If you're coming from Southwark Bridge way, then you can miss out E&C by heading down Rockingham St, turning right down Meadow Row, crossing at the ped crossing and then using the cycle path up to Rodney Place

Police were handing out tickets to people cycling on the footpaths from Park Road to the Outer Circle on Sunday morning

Well SE London was fun this morning, used the Quietway 1 for the first time ever to swerve the whole OKR/Borough clusterfuck and was very impressed.

Whilst I fully suport the right of the Police to shut down Central London to honour a fallen colleague, they could have managed the traffic a lot better.

• #16996
I did get a notification

The parking wardens are gone, and so the cycle lane aka clearzone aka i park outside my house cos fuck signs is now full up again.
Pfff. But it's sunny and I got a nice rainbow over Belfast lough :)

I had no idea what was going on until I got to borough. Asked the dude on traffic duty the best way to get north of the river - "dunno mate. don't know what's going on really. this bits closed though". Cheers, officer.
Did see a firearms dude the absolute spit of PC Hipsta though, which made my morning.

• #16999
Wow amazed you've not tried it before. It's mostly really good innit!

they could have managed the traffic a lot better.
Perhaps there's something quite deliberate about that - look we run tings
Then you follow him home and poo through his letter box
