The away end at Bournemouth on Saturday sang "Have you ever seen Tottenham win the league?" Although I didn't watch any games in the 1960-61 season, I was alive and so wondered whether it was appropriate for me to join in. While contemplating this, I realised that Tottenham's gap between their last league win and their next is at very least 56 years which is longer than the longest gap that we have ever had.
Then again their first gap: 1882 -1951 was longer still. If they are to mirror that 69 year gap, they may still have to wait until 2030.
