The conditions were perfectly driveable; there was only some drizzle at the track. Generally visibility and conditions were fine for racing. But at the hospital, 38km away, conditions for the medi-heli to land, were very poor. Racing could have happened on track, but there was no way for a medical evacuation to be effected, so thats why racing of any type was red flagged. However, some parade laps would have been absolutely safe to do, and it would have been something at least for the fans would made the journey (including one of our forumengers I believe).
I did, and I disagree.
Why would the teams send out cars in those conditions?
