Yes, MRI is right it's a Lampre team bike from 1993. I had a Master in that scheme that I sold on here a while back.

This turned up in the post yesterday from a forum member (picture sellers). Love the paint and the profiling in the middle of the top and down tubes. First Nag, hope this doesn't become a habit.
Don't get on with Rubinos so will change to Veloflex Master (gumwall) or Corsa (black), opinions on what will suit better ? Also will change bar tape to black. Longer term possibly saddle (depending on comfort), and maybe cranks which are bit tatty from heel rub. May also look to pick up a tub wheel set at some point

What is that? a Crystal? it looks somewhat like a Tecnos but without the Gilco tube profile.
My choice would be Veloflex Masters, gumwall, 25mm, superb ride.
Rubinos are an odd range of tyres, some can be not too bad but others are like tractor tyres slow and heavy.

Yup, It's a Competiom Art Decor with Crystal tubing.
I've found Rubino's to be a heavy tyre that still get cut by glass easily and have questionable grip in the wet

to give you an idea , mine with veloflex master (23mm)

Actually, I'm not sure now. It has Crystal tubing, but labelled as a Competition with Art Decor paint. Can't seem to find any other Competitions with Crystal tubing, they usually had Thron ?
Anyhoo, put black bar tape on and saddle/tyres from the parts bin and quite like it. Black shows off the frame quite nicely.

Black CXP30 is Rad !
seatpost and saddle can>>> and WDStem ? -

Stem and Bars are both Modolo (Q) Race, wasn't aware of them up until I got this bike.
Saddle is from the parts bin, not sure what I'm going to go with yet. Flite is period correct I guess, but never particularly liked those

I don't think the 'Competition' bit means that much. I have an art deco Master that says 'competition' and another one that doesn't have that paint job or tag but it is exactly the same model.
My guess is it is a 'Crystal' with perhaps a factory specified custom paint job. Also the external rear brake cable guides convinces me.

Here's my dream

First proper ride on the Crystal/Competition yesterday, was surprised at how comfy it was to ride. Smooths out the lumps and bumps in the road more so than my Cervelo R2. Felt very sluggish up hills though, possibly due to the heavy CXP30s ? I'll try Zondas on it to see if they make a difference

I have a lush mavic gel 280 (or might be 330) wheelset I'll be looking to shift in the coming weeks if you're interested

Haven't been ridden since I had for sale previously!

Wrong freehub body for me I'm afraid, id want the one that can take 9/10/11 cassettes. Lovely wheels though

No worries. I can barely bring myself to sell, but they are getting no use at all.
Seeing how old that for sale thread was was actually a massive shock!

I've got a Dream from (I think) 2004, and fitted (again I think) with a Flash fork. Am I right in thinking that this should have the crown painted in black, then with a fade down the forks into lacquered carbon?
At some point my fork has had a total respray, and looking to revert it back to the norm.
Thanks in advance!

Hey kids, who can help me with identifying frame name of my funky Colnago? Someone told me it might be Super or Mexico in "team painting scheme"...
