The clicky trackpad is far nicer than the haptic one, with far less crazy accidental/buggy cursor nonsense.
This is crazy talk. The ability to get a solid (fake) click out of applying pressure anywhere on the trackpad instead of just a (real) mechanical click in a bottom corner is fantastic. I used to click by tapping as I didn't like lifting my finger off the trackpad and moving it to the appropriate area to real-click. Now I can just push in.
Force Click is a waste of time though - as much do to with underutilisation as sometimes unexpected implementation (force click to rename?! although doing it on any mention in an app of a date/time for a calendar appointment, or location for a map, is sort of useful)

I'd have to agree with @BQ here, I wouldn't say the old trakcpad is far nicer but i do find myself accidentally clicking the new trackpad to do things I am not intending to. I think this is force of habit thing as I still move to the bottom of the trackpad for when I'd like need to actually click...
I've got (from work) a last gen 15 inch retina pro and the gen before (with mechanical trackpad) 13 inch retina pro.
It's the older one I prefer. The clicky trackpad is far nicer than the haptic one, with far less crazy accidental/buggy cursor nonsense.
