Oh that looks fun! Actually Bridgwater is another point where I've bailed, after Exmoor broke me on a London-Land's End-London attempt.
Can you share the route, just in case I start cycling again?

Funny, I'm reading an Edward Thomas book now. I think I could just about match the pace of his wonderings.
I have nothing useful to add but would be interested to know how you find it.

I'm still working on the routes. Much of Thomas' route is now on nasty roads so we are looking for alternates but still trying to visit some of his highlights.

aw day 1 is my old commute, till Leatherhead. Is the Dorking Cock one of his highlights?
I know he had breakfast at Farnham and stuff but I'd recommend nipping south so you can go play on the roads just under Frensham Ponds. Simmondstone/Wishanger Lane particularly recommended.

Mary Wynn-Jones on completion of the In Pursuit of Spring ride in 1993. Her account of the ride is in the August ‘93 edition of the Edward Thomas Fellowship newsletter.Our ride and routes are evolving on the blog ips2013.tumblr.com we are going at Easter, a March Easter but a week later than in 1913.
Another rider, Pat from Laurel Books, is setting out on Friday - the closest Friday to the 100th anniversary of March 21st 1913

Three of us are planning a leisurely six day Easter ride from Clapham to Cothelstone, Somerset. We will be staying in a wierd selection of pubs and B+Bs on the way.
This is the 100 year celebration of Edward Thomas's 1913 ride In Pursuit of Spring from
Has anyone done some or all of this before?
We will try to follow much of Thomas's route although not at the same pace. He stopped at:-
CLAPHAM, GUILDFORD, DUNBRIDGE, DILLYBROOK, TROWBRIDGE , SHEPTON-MALLET, BRIDGWATER , KILVE and The Grave of Winter at COTHELSTONE HILL
